Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido has claimed that the best doctors in the United States are of Nigerian descent.

Davido made this statement during an appearance on the Afric TV program, where he highlighted the intellectual and creative excellence of Africans.

He emphasised that Africans are among the brightest minds in the global music industry, noting that even Western filmmakers are increasingly looking to the continent for inspiration and movie ideas. He said, “The best doctors in America are Nigerians. You can search it. Even in my record label [Sony Music], Africans bring the best ideas. That shows that our imagination is off the grid.

“Netflix and Amazon Prime come to Africa to get movie ideas. Now, when you come on Netflix, you will see about two Nigerian movies in the top 10. Africa is next, trust me. I feel like we have everything but just missing a couple of things.” Vanguard

Superstar singer and Grammy Award winner, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, aka Burna Boy, has bragged about his riches.

According to Burna Boy, he is now richer than most of those he once looked up to.

The singer stated this in a post on his Instagram story.

While noting that perseverance and determination can lead to achieving the unthinkable, he stressed on the importance of not undermining anyone’s potential, as everyone has the capacity to succeed.

“Imagine growing up and only politicians and oil men were the ones really getting REAL money followed by the G boys. Music was not even in the conversation when money was the Topic.

“Now, an ugly black musician from Port Harcourt got more money than 90% of the people he looked up to as moneymakers.

“This is why I never count any young people out, because they could be Elon Musk 2moro typing this same message,” he wrote.

Burna Boy rose to stardom in 2012 after releasing “Like to Party”. (Daily Trust)
