The nation’s oil company will commence loading of first batch of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) from the refinery on Sunday, Tribune Online reports.

The NNPCL, in a post via its official X handle Saturday evening, confirmed that no fewer than 100 trucks from the company have arrived at Dangote refinery at Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos State.

In a significant move to bolster fuel supply across the nation, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has commenced the  mobilization of fleet of trucks to the Dangote Refinery.

In a post on its X account, NNPCL said the loading will commence on Sunday, 15th September, 2024 and over a hundred truck has been deployed to the refinery.

“In preparation for the Dangote Refinery’s scheduled petrol loading on Sunday, September 15, 2024, NNPC Ltd. has been mobilizing trucks to the refinery’s fuel loading gantry in Ibeju-Lekki.

“As of Saturday afternoon, NNPC Ltd. had deployed over 100 trucks, with hundreds more en route.”

This initiative marks the commencement of petrol loading operations at the refinery, which is anticipated to play a crucial role in meeting the country’s energy demands.

Industry experts believe that this partnership will not only streamline supply chains but also contribute to stabilizing fuel prices in the local market.

The loading of petrol from the Dangote Refinery is anticipated to begin shortly, providing a much-needed boost to Nigeria’s fuel infrastructure.
