Goodness Chijioke O a.k.a Young C Moneygod

Goodness Chijioke O, popularly known as Young C Moneygod, has explained why he chose to be buried alive for 24 hours

In an interview with The Nation, Young C, a History and International Studies graduate from Imo State University, revealed that he undertook the challenge to create content for his YouTube channel, “Young C Entertainment.”

He explained that his goal was to grow his platform and earn a living through legitimate means, rather than committing fraud or other criminal activities.

As a YouTuber, songwriter, and musician, Young C said he aimed to monetize his content once the video was uploaded.

He said: “First I did it for content creation for one of my platforms “Young C Entertainment” on YouTube. To grow my platform with the Attention that will be gotten from the challenge. I did it to earn a living instead of indulging in fraud and other criminal activities hence I was going to make some money from my platforms when I uploaded the video.

“I did it to overcome fear, telling myself I could do whatever I wanted even if people tried to discourage me. I created awareness so that a record-breaking platform can be established in Africa.”

Regarding people’s criticisms, he said he views their comments as motivation to do more and grow, believing they will ultimately become his fans.

He said: “I pay deaf ears to those who criticize me because people always criticize what they don’t understand, and there is nothing you will do on earth that people won’t criticize you. I see their comments as motivation to do more and grow more so in the end they will turn my fans.”

Afrobeat music giant, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido set social media ablaze on Sunday when he slammed an Abuja-based barber who is also a Wizkid fan, Callistus Okolie, with his Instagram handle as @Kallystouch, for describing him (Davido) as the third biggest musician in the Nigerian music industry.

Commenting on the photos Davido posted of himself in Dubai on Sunday, the barber wrote, “The only 3rd man in the music industry 003.”

Dissatisfied with Okolie’s description of him, the singer quickly responded by saying “@kallystouch I have saved your picture. I would have come to Abuja, and you would have cut my hair that is almost finished, but you like social media.”

He added that the barber had missed his “generation’s blessing” because he (Davido) sponsored his last three barbers in opening their salons.

“My last three barbers, I opened shops for them. That is how you missed your generation’s blessing”, he added.

Taking another swipe at Davido on Monday, Okolie who tweets as @Kallystouch on X.com responded with a video of one of his customers he gave a nice haircut, stating that Davido had missed an opportunity to have a haircut from the best barber in the FCT.

He wrote, “Davido just missed the opportunity to have a haircut from the best barber in Abuja.”

In another viral video he posted on X.com, Okolie blasted Davido for his response. He insisted that for him, Wizkid remains the biggest musician in the Nigerian music industry.

He added that Davido was not his helper and that he was not seeking help from anybody.

“FC does not beg, write it down, FC does not beg. Wizkid remains my 001 in the music industry, no cap. I did not say that to hurt anyone or to pull anybody down. Again, there is a statement Davido made that he was coming to Abuja and I would have been his barber, I would have been the person to cut his hair, how?”, he wrote.

He added, “Do you know me before that I would have been your barber? If not for my comment would you have replied to me? Let’s be realistic, do you know me before? You don’t know me before? FC is number one. Apart from that, I’m not begging anybody, Davido is not my helper, because whoever will help me will not stress me, Portable has said it before.”

This is the second time in less than a week that the singer would be coming under fire on social media.

Recall that on April 29, 2024, Wizkid set microblogging site, X.com, on fire when he took swipes at Davido and Don Jazzy.

As a result of the controversial tweet, Wizkid trended as number 4 on Nigeria’s X trends.

During exchanges with his followers, Wizkid mocked Davido for his recently leaked viral video where he was seen on his knees crying and begging someone believed to be a female associate.  (PUNCH)
