This disclosure came during a press conference by the Lagos Police Commissioner, Idowu Owohunwa, as he announced the names of those apprehended in connection with the singer’s demise.
According to Commissioner Owohunwa, PrimeBoy, who is among the suspects, attended Mohbad’s show in Ikorodu on September 10, 2023, accompanied by the singer.
“At the end of the show, Mohbad and Ibrahim (Primeboy) were engaged in a violent fight during which Mohbad was injured. The management of the injury subsequently resulted in his death, he is being treated as a suspect,” he said.
Mohbad died in September under questionable circumstances with videos of the singer being bullied and assaulted resurfacing after his demise.
His former label boss, Naira Marley (Abdulazeez Fashola), and his associate, Sam Larry (Samson Balogun) have been fingered for being accomplices.
The CP who also disclosed findings on the nurse that purportedly treated Mohbad, said the late singer began vomiting and developed goosebumps after he was injected three times by the nurse, identified as Feyisayo Ogedemgbe.

This was at the preliminary reports of investigation conducted by the police team to unravel the circumstances that led to the death of late singer.
The CP pointed out that Mohbad was brought in dead to the hospital, and he was certified dead by doctors on duty on September 12.
According to the statement, the nurse, Feyisayo Ogedemgbe, who was invited by Mohbad’s friend, Ayobami Sodiq aka Spending, to inject the singer at his residence, administered three injections believed to have led to the chain of reactions that eventually led to the singer’s death.
Mohbad began vomiting and developed goosebumps after the injections,” Owohunwa said.
Recall that Mohbad died September 12, 2023. “As of today, a total of 26 witnesses have been interviewed,” the CP said.
He disclosed that those interrogated include: Mohbad’s father, mother, sisters, brother, wife and Manager among several others.
